Double capital joy for ERC champion Kajetanowicz
Kajetan Kajetanowicz completed his record-breaking season with a double victory in his country’s capital on Saturday.
Not only did the LOTOS-backed Pole win Rajd Barbórka on his first appearance in a Ford Fiesta RS WRC alongside long-term co-driver Jarek Baran, he also triumphed on the Rajd Barbórka – Kryterium Karow, a one-stage spin-off in the centre of Warsaw.
Kajetanowicz beat Polish champion and ERC aspirant Filip Nivette and ERC event winner Bryan Bouffier to his fifth-straight Rajd Barbórka victory, while he recorded his third consecutive Rajd Barbórka – Kryterium Karow triumph ahead of Subaru Poland Rally Team drivers past and present, Dominykas Butvilas and Miko Marczyk, who were second and third respectively.
Earlier this season, Kajetanowicz became the first driver in history to win three FIA European Championship titles in succession driving a Ford Fiesta R5 for M-Sport Poland.
