Allen aboard! SRT confirms Brit for Toyota-powered ERC push
Philip Allen is FIA European Rally Championship bound once again in 2026, only this time he’ll embark on a full season powered by Toyota.
Continuing his alliance with Sports Racing Technologies (SRT) and co-driver Craig Drew, Allen will swap Škoda for Toyota power as he switches to a GR Yaris Rally2 equipped with Michelin tyres.
The ERC Staff House Rally Hungary Power Stage winner has made 16 starts at European level with 10th place on Rally Silesia in 2024 his best result so far, although he’s regularly featured higher up the order during events.
A communication from Sports Racing Technologies, a multiple ERC event and title-winning team, read: “SRT is pleased to confirm that Philip Allen and Craig Drew will contest the full 2026 FIA European Rally Championship season in the team’s Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.
“The programme continues an established cooperation between the British crew and the Latvian squad, building on the working relationship developed over recent seasons. Having competed together in the ERC in 2024 and 2025, the partnership now moves into a new phase with a change of machinery for the upcoming campaign.
SRT and its British crew approach the 2026 season with confidence and determination
“During the 2025 season, Allen demonstrated his speed at European level by securing a Power Stage victory and delivering a number of top-level stage times. Alongside strong performances, his committed driving style also produced several memorable moments that resonated with rally fans throughout the year.
“With continuity in the partnership, proven potential, and a clear focus on progression, SRT and its British crew approach the 2026 season with confidence and determination.”
Thirty-four-year-old Allen and Drew, 42, won’t be short of match practice when the 73rd ERC season begins on 43rd Andalusia Rally - Sierra Morena - Córdoba World Heritage Site from 17 - 19 April, having contested Rally Alūksne, where they finished third, and Rallijs Sarma in Latvia in recent weeks.
As well as overseeing Allen’s ERC campaign in 2025, SRT guided Roope Korhonen and Mārtiņš Sesks to outright victories in Hungary and Poland respectively.
