Breaking news: Mabellini out of ERC title fight
Andrea Mabellini has gone off the road, 11.6 kilometres from the start of Croatia Rally’s fourth stage.
The Italian and co-driver Virginia Lenzi, contenders for the 2025 FIA European Rally Championship, are uninjured but will take no further part on the opening leg of the event.
Jon Armstrong continues to lead the season decider, but his run of stage wins is over after he picked up front-left tyre damage.
Robert Virves looked set to claim the fastest time to move to within 12.7sec of Armstrong with two stages of leg one remaining before Romet Jürgenson denied his fellow Estonian by +0.6sec and climb into third overall.
