Run out of the EUR district of Rome and featuring all-new stages in the Rieti area of Italy, the event takes place from 3 - 5 July with entries open until 18 June.
Counting as a round of both the ERC and Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Sparco, 11 asphalt-only stages over 196.88 kilometres provide the challenge with organisers confirming the Colosseo Quadrato as the location of the all-new service park, which is close to the event’s Salone delle Fontane headquarters.
A communication from the Rally di Roma Capitale organisers read: “The new Rally HQ will be one of the most extensive ever seen in a rally event, with over 1000 square metres of operational space designed to host organisers, officials, teams and media in a highly functional environment.
“For the first time, the service park will also feature a dedicated Fan Zone, including activities for fans and families, immersive experiences and an educational karting track. A format that expands the event beyond pure competition, turning EUR into a true motorsport village.
“The special stages will be mainly based in the Rieti area, thanks to the support of local municipalities, starting with a new Qualifying Stage in Frascati, followed by new stages such as Vallecupola, the scenic Piana di Rascino and the technical Colle di Tora–Poggio Moiano.
“The second leg will feature more traditional sections, including Monastero–Monte Livata and Canterano–Gerano, which will host the final Power Stage. The rally will conclude with a ceremonial finish in Via della Conciliazione, just steps away from St Peter’s Basilica, in the heart of Rome.
“This strategic evolution is part of the event’s long-term growth plan, combining new routes with a broader vision that includes a return to Ciociaria from 2027, a key area in the history of Rally di Roma Capitale.
“A major logistical transformation supported by significant investment, made possible through the collaboration between Roma Capitale, Regione Lazio, Automobile Club d’Italia, ACI Sport and Automobile Club Roma, with the patronage of the Ministry for Sport and Youth, Sport e Salute and CONI. The contribution of the Polizia Locale di Roma Capitale will also be crucial for safety and mobility management in an edition that will fully involve the city.”
