ERC hopeful Reiersen gets another chance to shine
Isak Reiersen, who’s plotting an FIA European Rally Championship campaign in 2026, will take on the world at home this week when he contests Rally Sweden.
The rising local star, 22, is contesting round two of the FIA World Rally Championship driving a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 for JC Raceteknik. Adam Grahn, who tackled selected ERC3 events in 2025 will be one of his team-mates on the snow and ice-based spectacular.
Reiersen, who has registered for WRC2 points, said: “To be doing Rally Sweden once again; I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve always enjoyed rallying in Umeå and love the stages. This will be a step away from the original plan we have for this year, which we hopefully will be able to announce very soon after Rally Sweden. It will be a great opportunity for me and the sponsors to get visibility and also show our ability against some of the fastest guys in the world.”
The ERC podium finisher placed 13th overall and fifth in WRC2 on Rally Sweden 12 months ago alongside co-driver Stefan Gustavsson.

He continued: “We did some tests to prepare as well as possible, getting me and Stefan back in the game after some months off, which hopefully will lead to a great result. Thanks to everyone who makes this possible, I’m really grateful for that and let’s hope for a great rally.”
JC Raceteknik boss Joel Christoffersson said: “It’s so motivating for us as a team to be working with such talented and hungry drivers we have lined up for Rally Sweden, which of course is a huge part of our calendar every year. Iask we know is very quick and continues to build on the really solid job he has done in the last 12 months with the car, so it’s brilliant that it is possible he’s been able to add his home WRC round to his programme for this year too. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes but I’m honestly so excited to go to such a huge event with these drivers in our cars.”
Reiersen is a childhood friend of Oliver Solberg, the current WRC points leader following his standout victory on Rallye Monte-Carlo last month. Rally Sweden runs from tomorrow (Thursday) until Sunday with all stages live on Rally.TV.
