Homecoming time as ERC Royal Rally of Scandinavia returns to Färjestad
BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia is heading home for its fourth appearance on the FIA European Rally Championship roster.
Having run out of the Norra Fältet site in 2025, organisers have announced a move back to Färjestad Trotting Track for this season’s ERC counter.
Located a short distance from Karlstad city centre, Färjestad Trotting Track housed the BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia service park and several fan attractions in 2023 and 2024 and proved a popular feature of the high-speed gravel event.
The venue was also used to host Rally Sweden’s iconic super special stage when the FIA World Rally Championship event was located in the Värmland region.
As well as hosting the service park, which is located adjacent to the main arena, the event headquarters, rally control and media centre will be based at Färjestad Trotting Track.
The service park will be free and open to the public throughout the rally. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet leading ERC drivers and watch the teams work up close on their cars. Opening hours and the full service park schedule will be published closer to the event at www.ercroyalrally.com.
Anna Nordkvist, CEO of BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia, said: “Färjestad is a perfect location for the rally with great space and facilities, close to the E18 and the city centre. We know the venue very well and, to be honest, it feels a bit like coming home again.”
Meanwhile, the Sola Springmeet car event will take place on the infield of Färjestad Trotting Track on Saturday 23 May.
BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia takes place from 22 – 24 May as round two of the seven-event ERC season. It also forms the FIA Junior ERC Championship opener with the Hankook-supplied category making a return to Sweden after a year away.
