Junior ERC champion Carlberg rally-ready for Finland
Calle Carlberg won’t be lacking in preparation when he resumes his pursuit of FIA Junior WRC Championship gold in Finland this week.
Swede Carlberg, who secured a season-long Junior WRC prize drive for winning the Junior ERC title in 2025, tops the title chase by two points after a non-finish on the last round, May’s Vodafone Rally de Portugal.
With Secto Rally Finland marking the penultimate event of the Junior WRC season, Carlberg has stepped up his preparations to ensure he’s as ready as possible for the high-speed gravel stages, which he’s tackling for the first time alongside Norwegian co-driver Jørgen Eriksen.

“I’m feeling ready to pick up the fight for the Junior world title again,” Carlberg said. “I’ve changed my priorities a bit now to put more effort into the preparations before Finland. This will be the first event where we did a test to feel as ready as possible.

“Secto Rally Finland has always had a special place in my mind. It’s been the one everyone wants to do as it has massive history and very special roads. I think the description of a grand prix on gravel fits it well. This will be my first time driving in Finland, but I think we can manage to do a good result.”

Carlberg is joined on the Secto Rally Finland Junior WRC entry list by fellow Junior ERC graduates Leevi Lassila and Craig Rahill.
The event begins tomorrow (Thursday) and finishes on Sunday after 20 stages and 316.04 kilometres of competitive action live on Rally.TV.
