Lancia underlines ERC victory credentials with maiden Ypsilon win
The Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale is already a winner – more than a month before the 2026 FIA European Rally Championship fires into life in Spain.
It follows Andrea Crugnola and Andea Sassi’s dominant drive on Rally dei Laghi in their native Italy last Sunday (1 March), which marked the first victory for the all-new ERC-bound car.
A Lancia communication read: “The rally was far from straightforward. After controlling the first part of the event, the final two stages were hit by a sudden and intense downpour that put crews and cars under severe pressure, with many competitors running on dry tyres. In this scenario, the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale demonstrated reliability, balance and competitiveness even in low-grip conditions, confirming the quality of the development work carried out in recent months together with the technical team and Crugnola himself.”

Crugnola, a two-time ERC winner, is expected to bid for a third triumph when he contests Rally di Roma Capitale, his home round of the series, from 3 - 5 July.
Meanwhile, Andrea Mabellini and Tuukka Kauppinen have confirmed plans to contest the seven-event ERC season in Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrales for Lancia Corse HF and Tagai Racing Technology respectively. British champion William Creighton will switch to one of the Italian machines later in the season, which begins with the 43rd Andalusia Rally - Sierra Morena - Córdoba World Heritage Site from 17 - 19 April.
