Lloyd impressed by finishing fifth in ERC4 on JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion 12 months ago while competing as a wildcard.
He’ll start the all-asphalt event this Friday (5 September) with a gilt-edged opportunity to close the gap to the absent Calle Carlberg in the battle for the ERC4 crown.

Despite his Barum Czech Rally Zlín retirement heartbreak last month, Lloyd can keep his title chances alive providing he reaches the finish in Aberystwyth on Sunday and then scores at least 20 points on the season-deciding Croatia Rally next month with Swede Carlberg failing to register a single point.
“I'll be using my own Peugeot 208 Rally4 on this event and hoping that it will be a good test ahead of the important final round of the Junior ERC in Croatia,” said the 22-year-old Lloyd.

“We're obviously after ERC4 points, but the event is also a round the Stellantis UK Cup, so it will be nice to be part of that family again after we won the Cup last year. I’m looking forward to being out on a home event as it’s always a special feeling and having an ERC rally based in Aberystwyth is so cool.

“It should be a great rally and obviously it is good for our local sponsors and supporters for us to be out competing on such a high-profile event in Wales. I'd like to thank all of our supporters, including those who are based in the Aberystwyth area, for their on-going support.”
Whatever the championship outcome, Lloyd and co-driver Sion Williams co-driving have frequently exceeded expectations during their first season of international competition. They’ve finished in the ERC4/Junior ERC top five three times and on the podium once in 2025. They were also in the victory fight in Czech Republic until a double deflation put them out on the final morning.
