Larsen, 35, has won all eight rallies he’s contested in 2026 and brings that pedigree to a Team MRF Tyres’ line-up featuring last year’s winner Eyvind Brynildsen, FIA World Rally Championship stage winner Mārtiņš Sesks and multiple Romanian champion Simone Tempestini.

“Last year we were fighting in the top positions, took our first ERC stage win and finished fifth overall,” the Norwegian championship leader and three-time national champion said. “This year the aim is to use our experience in the second year with Team MRF Tyres to take the step onto the podium. The level in ERC is extremely high and it will demand that we are at our absolute best and that the tyres perform to the maximum. The feeling is good and I’m really looking forward to getting started.”

After suffering an event-ending crash in 2023, Larsen returned to BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia in 2024 and finished a fine fourth driving for his family-run team. He joined Team MRF Tyres for the third running of the event in 2025 and finished a strong fifth.

Larsen’s fellow Norwegian Lars-Håkon Lundgreen will co-drive the pair’s Volkswagen Polo GTI R5. Although the car is from a previous Rally2 generation, Larsen remains widely recognised as one of the strongest contenders on high-speed gravel events, thanks to his experience, commitment and detailed understanding of Scandinavian roads.
BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia is based in the Swedish city of Karlstad from 22 - 24 May. Fans planning to attend can buy tickets at this LINK.
