The 22-year-old from Wales will contest Rallye Castine - Terre d'Occitanie from 3 - 4 May after he was invited by Peugeot Sport France to tackle the loose-surface event.
“It's the sort of phone call you dream of,” Lloyd said of the opportunity. “It's a great chance to drive a Peugeot 208 Rally4 on gravel the weekend before the next round of the Junior ERC, when I will be back in my regular car.

“There will be a lot of tough competition and the one-pass convoy recce is a new challenge. The competition will be mega, as it always is in France. This is a perfect warm-up for us for Hungary, and time on gravel stages in a 208 Rally4 the weekend before Hungary is just perfect. We're going to go and enjoy the event and maximise this incredible opportunity.”
Lloyd’s competition includes 2016 Junior ERC champion Marijan Griebel, who is competing in an Opel Corsa Rally4, and Eliott Delecour, son of former FIA World Rally Championship legend François Delecour, whose career CV includes 47 ERC event starts.
Welshman Lloyd, the Stellantis Cup UK/IRE winner from 2024, finished fifth in the Hankook-equipped Junior ERC category on the 42nd Rally Sierra Morena - Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad earlier this month.
VI Rally Hungary takes place from 9 - 11 May.
