Organiser Motorsport Italia has prepared an itinerary featuring three all-new special stages and a “complete route revision” following the return of legendary stages from previous editions of the asphalt-only event. It has stated with confidence that “the revamped layout raises the bar for competition and spectacle alike”.
While the natural spring water town of Fiuggi continues as the event’s operational hub and service park home, Rome remains the rally’s beating heart, according to Motorsport Italia.
Italy’s capital city will provide “a unique backdrop, with the high-profile opening ceremony reaffirming its status as a must-watch event”.
Through Motorsport Italia’s tireless efforts, Rally di Roma Capitale stands among the five biggest sporting events scheduled in Rome in 2025, “bridging motorsport with mainstream audiences”.

Social initiatives and sustainability at the forefront

Sustainability will remain at the forefront of Rally di Roma Capitale in 2025 with its three-star FIA environmental accreditation underlining the event’s commitment to sustainability.
Rally di Roma Capitale received further recognition when Motorsport Italia’s Bruno de Pianto highlighted the event’s environmental achievements and best practices during a presentation to delegates at the FIA Officials’ Summit in Madrid recently.
Social inclusion will also continue as an important feature of Rally di Roma Capitale. Initiatives such as wheelchair basketball will continue the important task of promoting accessibility and inclusivity as the event’s core values, according to Motorsport Italia.
Rally di Roma Capitale founder and Motorsport Italia head Max Rendina said: “We are proud of our sustainability efforts, with the rally standing as the only event in the series to hold the FIA’s three-star environmental accreditation – an achievement that rewards years of commitment. Rally di Roma Capitale is now a model for the FIA ERC, as highlighted in Madrid two weeks ago. Our mission is to keep moving forward, making the rally more sustainable and responsible. Beyond the sport itself, initiatives like these allow us to reach a wider audience and take rallying beyond its traditional niche.”
Rally di Roma Capitale has always looked to innovate and grow while staying true to its identity and strong connection with the city.

Addressing the route changes, Rendina said: “Rally di Roma Capitale has always looked to innovate and grow while staying true to its identity and strong connection with the city. For 2025, we have worked on a significantly revised route, bringing in new special stages and reviving great sections to balance tradition and innovation.”
The 13th edition of Rally di Roma Capitale and the ninth to count for the ERC takes place from 4 - 6 July, three weeks earlier than usual to avoid clashing with Italy’s Jubilee year celebrations.
As well as forming part of the ERC schedule, Rally di Roma Capitale is a round of the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Sparco. The event will also host not one but two rounds of the all-new Trofeo Lancia, the one-make series for Ypsilon Rally4 HF that carries a factory drive in the 2026 ERC as its top prize.
