Young Polish drivers aiming for a share of the ERC limelight
It’s not just Polish pacesetters Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Miko Marczyk who will be taking centre stage on 82nd Rally Poland, their country’s round of the FIA European Rally Championship.
Jakub Matulka, the reigning national champion, and teenage talent, Adrian Rzeżnik, will also be aiming to impress when the all-asphalt event takes place from 24 - 26 July.
ORLEN LOTTO Rally Team driver Matulka, who is linking up with co-driver Daniel Dymurski for his local event, said: “We had the opportunity to work on a very interesting stage that closely reflects the characteristics of the roads we’ll be competing on this weekend [during our test]. We completed a lot of valuable work, checking the car’s performance in these conditions, fine-tuning the set-up, and allowing me to prepare properly for the Silesian Tarmac stages. We feel well prepared and can’t wait to get the rally under way.”

Rzeżnik, another ORLEN-backed driver, is in his first season competing at Rally2 level after impressing in the ERC3 Championship in 2025 alongside Kamil Kozdroń. He said: “It promises to be a fiercely contested event, with some very strong names on the entry list. For fans, it will be a real rallying feast and undoubtedly the most important motorsport event in Poland.”

Other Polish drivers competing in the headlining ERC1 category include Jarosław Koltun, Rally2 rookie Adam Sroka and national championship leader Jarosław Szeja.
