Happy Lundberg ready for next ERC challenge

Elias Lundberg is ready to test his skills on Tarmac when Rally Islas Canarias hosts round of the FIA ERC3 Junior Championship from tomorrow (Thursday).

Lundberg finished third in the Pirelli-supported category on the all-gravel Azores Rallye but must now transfer that form to asphalt in his ADAC Opel Rallye Junior Team ADAM R2.

“Me and my co-driver David were really happy with our ERC debut in the Azores,” said Lundberg, winner of the ADAC Opel Rallye Cup in 2018. “It was a great feeling to end up on the podium after such a tough rally. But now we’re facing a different challenge. I have quite limited experience on Tarmac, but from what I’ve seen it looks quite close to racing and a good line technique is going to be key.

“The ADAM R2 has proved to be extremely competitive on Tarmac and my team is going to help me to become fast. It will be interesting to see if we’re competitive on Tarmac against these really fast drivers in ERC3 Junior.”
