Big recognition for ERC Rally di Roma Capitale organiser Rendina

At Autosprint magazine’s prestigious Caschi d’Oro awards event, organised in partnership with Automobile Club d’Italia, Rally di Roma Capitale and Rendina were recognised with the Casco d’Oro (Golden Helmet) for the “value that Rally di Roma Capitale has demonstrated over the years, transforming the event into an excellence of Italian and international motorsport”, according to a communication from the Tarmac event.

“Receiving the Golden Helmet at the end of this season is an enormous satisfaction that I want to share with all our collaborators, with my team, the institutions, and the partners who stand by our side to allow the Rally di Roma Capitale to be at this level,” said Motorsport Italia head Rendina. “This Golden Helmet is, first of all, a recognition of the work we have all done, but it is also a great push to continue working to demonstrate the excellence of Italian motorsport in Europe and around the world.”

As well as becoming an established fixture on the ERC calendar, Rally di Roma Capitale has received three-star FIA Environmental Accreditation.  

The President of the Automobile Club d’Italia, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, the President of CONI, Giovanni Malagò and the Councillor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion of Rome Capitale, Alessandro Onorato, were also present at the Caschi d’Oro event along with motorsport personalities such as former ERC champion Miki Biasion and Formula One race winners Giancarlo Fisichella and Felipe Massa.  

Rally di Roma Capitale will count as round five of the 2024 ERC season from 26 - 28 July.
