‘Veteran’ Klausz still an ERC Junior in Latvia
Kristóf Klausz will be one of the most experienced drivers in the field when Rally Liepāja brings the curtain down on the all-action 2018 FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship season next week – despite being one of the youngest.
Klausz, who turned 22 in the summer, has taken part on the Latvian event five times and admits he’s in love with the high-speed gravel stages.
“It is going to be our fifth Rally Liepāja, I really love this rally,” said the Hungarian, who drives a Pirelli-equipped PEUGEOT 208 R2. “The stages are really fast and so hard to get the good rhythm and compete against the local heroes.
“Our plan for the rally is developing and we want to keep on the move with the fastest juniors, reach the finish line with a good result.”
