Tom Kristensson underlined his potential – and determination – by completing his debut season in the FIA European Rally Championship with back-to-back wins.

Kristensson stepped up to the Pirelli-supported ERC Junior Under 27 Championship in 2018, his prize for winning the ADAC Opel Rallye Cup in Germany the previous season.

After crashing out of the season-opening Azores Airlines Rallye, the talented Swede regained his composure and showed progression on each event, ending the year with class triumphs in Poland and Latvia alongside co-driver Henrik Appelskog.

“I’m having troubles finding the words for this end of season, it’s not what I expected,” said the Swede, who partnered ERC Junior U27 champion Mārtiņš’ Sesks at the ADAC Opel Rallye Junior Team. “It feels really good to end the season with this double victory, thank you to my fantastic team.”
