Belgian Munster wants ‘momentum transfer’ in ERC
Grégoire Munster will head from his native Belgium to Poland for his latest rallying fix keen to “transfer the momentum” that he began building in the FIA ERC3 Junior Championship in Latvia last month.
Munster, part of the ADAC Opel Rallye Junior Team in the Pirelli-supported ERC3 Junior category, is still growing his experience on gravel, but showed encouraging speed on Rally Liepāja only to retire with a damaged driveshaft.
Ahead of this week’s ERC-counting PZM 76th Rally Poland, Munster said: “We managed to steadily increase our pace on gravel throughout the last rally in Latvia, which was quite encouraging. Unfortunately, I did a small mistake then and had to retire.
“Meanwhile my co-driver Louis [Louka] and I had a successful experience winning our class at the ADAC Rallye Stemweder Berg in Germany in an Opel ADAM Cup. So the goal is to transfer the momentum to Poland and into our ADAM R2, continue to progress on gravel and set some good times. The boys from the ADAC Opel Rallye Junior Team will do all they can to support us in aiming for this goal.”
