Burri pleased with home ERC podium
OIivier Burri put his heart and sole into finishing third on his home round of the FIA European Rally Championship.
Co-driven by Nicolas Klinger, the top Swiss finisher was pleased with his performance on the Rallye International du Valais in his Citroën DS3 RRC, especially as it was his first rally for nine months.
“If, at the beginning of the event, someone said to us that we could keep pace with the best European drivers who are in a tube all along the year, I would have been pleased. Don’t forget that my last big rally was the Monte Carlo this year, after that, nothing more,” said Burri. “The driver was good the first day, a little less the second and the last it was wow, wow, wow – it was on the limit. It would not take one day more!”
