Delecour at his spectacular best on ERC Rallye du Valais!
You know it was a close call when François Delecour describes an incident as a “very, very big moment, huge moment” – and he wasn’t even talking about the moment when he hit a house!
The French rally legend is in spectacular form this morning, and in damp and slippery conditions he is giving many drivers of four-wheel drive R5 cars a real rally masterclass in his rear-wheel drive Porsche 997.
Co-driven by Sabrina de Castelli, Delecour admitted to being “too much sideways” and hitting a house in a village with the rear right corner of his Porsche on SS4 – yet he still set equal second fastest time!
On the next stage he had his “huge moment” when he was a “long time sideways” after clipping the grass verge.
Yet despite driving a two-wheel drive car, Delecour is still a fantastic fourth overall!
