Who is he? Kreim, the reigning German champion, has stepped up from national to international level in 2018 by contesting the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship.
Following the best: Following in the wheel tracks of compatriot and inaugural ERC Junior U28 champion Marijan Griebel, Kreim will drive a ŠKODA Fabia R5 run by Raimund Baumschlager’s BRR operation, albeit with support from his country’s ŠKODA importer, ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland.
Experience pays: Frank Christian, who has previous ERC experience with Sepp Wiegand, will co-drive Kreim.
Gravel attack: The back-to-back German champion’s Azores debut marked his first gravel event since his appearance on India’s round of the Asia-Pacific championship in December 2016.
Asphalt appeals: With more asphalt rallies under his belt, Kreim admits Tarmac is his preferred surface. And that has certainly proved to be the case based on his results in 2018: he was second in class on Rally Islas Canarias and took top honours on Rally di Roma Capitale.
Final flourish: Kreim was third in the ERC Junior U28 table starting Rally Liepāja and would settle for the place after finishing fourth in a class on the high-speed gravel event.
