Who is he? Pellier stepped up to the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship as his prize for winning the 208 Rally Cup in France last season.
Great experience: A graduate of the ERC Junior Experience training programme, Pellier’s PEUGEOT Rally Academy inclusion marks his first R5 campaign.
Different start: Pellier began his competition career in karting before moving into single-seaters, contesting the French F4 series in 2012.
Good move: His switch to rallying for the 2013 season proved successful with fourth place in the final French Junior standings.
One-make master: Pellier forged a strong reputation as a one-make master with his capture of the Citroën Racing Trophy title in 2015.
A winner in ERC3: A one-off step back to R2 machinery on the Cyprus Rally provided a big return with Pellier dominating ERC3, winning all but one stage in a Staintéloc Junior Team PEUEOT 208 R2.
Back on track: After crashing out in Italy, Pellier returned to form in ERC Junior U28 on Barum Czech Rally Zlín by finishing fourth. Afterwards he claimed to have had learned more on the Czech event than he had on “five rallies put together” because of the challenging weather and stage conditions he faced.
