Blach, who was tackling the sealed-surface event for the first time, completed the top 10 after he demoted vastly experienced local ace Jaromír Tarabus on the Power Stage.
However, the 55th running of the rally marked the completion of Blach’s four-event schedule with Llarena Racing, although the 30-year-old Spaniard is already working to secure the funds necessary to contest the season-deciding Rally Six Cities North of Portugal from 23 - 25 October with 2022 ERC champion Efrén Llarena’s eponymous team.
“I don’t know what rally is the next, but I hope it will be soon,” Blach said. “It’s possible for Fafe, it’s my home rally, I am from Spain but Fafe is near Galicia and I really want to be there because my people go to the see the rally and I feel the support of the people. But it’s complicated with the money, it’s a lot, but I hope it’s possible.”

When Blach made his mark in Zlín
Roberto Blach impressed on his Barum Czech Rally Zlín debut driving a Michelin-equipped Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 for Llarena Racing. Here’s a refresh.
Difficulty Czech: “All the people told me Barum is really difficult. Of course, Poland is difficult, Roma is difficult, but this is different, this is rally is the rally of the rallies and it’s difficult. You spend all day in the middle of the trees and the forests, a little scary, but we learned a lot and take the experience for next year, this is important. I don’t go flat out, I have little more [left] but I prefer to finish with a good pace.”
I think it’s flat but ‘no’: Rally.TV captured Blach’s high-speed spin on the first run through the legendary Semetín stage on Sunday morning. “For my first time here, I don’t know what the car will do in the fast sections and the jumps. Two corners before I think the car jumped a lot but nothing, but in this corner, I think it’s flat out but ‘no’.”
Powered up: “I pushed with all I had [to overtake Jaromír Tarabus on the Power Stage]. The time was good and I’m really happy to be in the top 10.”
