With two stages remaining, Daprà – who was quickest on this morning’s first stage – heads Teemu Suninen by 21.1sec for what would mark the Italian’s maiden ERC victory.
“We just tried to no take any risks,” Pirelli-equipped Daprà said after completing SS9 with the eighth fastest time. “We were very careful in the narrow section, so yeah, all okay.”
Behind Suninen, double European champion Giandomenico Basso demoted Boštjan Avbelj for third when the Slovenian-born driver spun on Sunday’s opening stage. They are separated by 3.7sec.
Arthur Pelamourges reclaimed fifth from fellow Michelin-supported driver Yoann Bonato on SS8. Mille Johansson, who started the final day in 10th place, is up to seventh ahead of Pablo Sarrazin, Andrea Mabellini and Hankook-supplied Yohan Rossel.
Miko Marczyk, Simone Campedelli, Marco Bulacia, MRF-shod Simone Tempestini and William Creighton complete the top 15.
The repeat of the Monastero - Monte Livata stage is up next from 14:15 local time.
