Miko Marczyk, Andrea Mabellini and Jon Armstrong – currently first, second and third in the provisional points order respectively – will begin the opening test from 09:23 local time today (Saturday), the first of 10 challenging stages ahead of the finish in Zagreb on Sunday afternoon.
After going quickest on Friday morning’s Qualifying Stage, Marczyk will start first on the road with Armstrong fifth and Mabellini eighth after the Italian’s early off-road moment.
Today’s competitive action west and southwest of Zagreb comprises three double-use stages and begins at 09:23 local time with the 22.70-kilometre charge from Krašić to Sošice on part of the stage used for the first time on last year’s Croatia Rally.
The 20.93-kilometre Hartje - Stojdraga stage is next at 10:26 followed by Breganica - Smerovišće (14.70 kilometres) from 11:19 to complete a quick-fire thrilling opening morning ahead of service at Westgate City prior to the morning stages being repeated in the afternoon.
As well as the battle to win the overall ERC title, the ERC3, ERC4, Team and Tyre Supplier championships are up for grabs on Croatia Rally. Follow the action live on Rally.TV.
