ERC stars Remennik, Rozin honoured by Russian federation
The FIA-affiliated Russian Motorsport Federation has rewarded ERC2 stars Sergei Remennik and Mark Rozin with International Master of Motor Sports titles for their achievements in rallying.
Currently leading the FIA European Rally Championship’s production category, Remennik (pictured right) and Rozin (left) have also achieved success on home soil.
The RAF’s recognition follows an assessment of their achievements in 2016 and 2017, which include the Russian N4 title, the Baltic Rally Trophy and finishing third in last season’s ERC2 standings.
“I hadn’t expected that we would receive the title but I’m pleasantly surprised,” said Remennik. “Our families put in a lot for this achievement. It’s very hard to tolerate our sport, and, apart from work, our absence. And, of course, thanks to all those who support us constantly: sports team, mechanics, media service and our fans.”
Remennik and Rozin will be on ERC duty in their Russian Performance Motorsport Mitsubishi Lancer on Rally di Roma Capitale from 20-22 July.
