Exciting entry for Rally Poland’s ERC comeback
Leading drivers from the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship will be aiming to prove their talent when the 75th PZM Rally Poland hosts the penultimate event of the season next week (21-23 September).
Organisers of the all-gravel spectacular have revealed an exciting entry of almost 60 cars with eight drivers contesting ERC Junior U28, the category for young stars in R5 cars.
They include championship leader Fabian Kreim (pictured), fellow event winners Nikolay Gryazin and Chris Ingram, Filip Mareš, plus top local talents Tomasz Kasperczyk, Miko Marczyk and Łukasz Pieniazek.
Alexey Lukyanuk, who heads the overall European championship standings after six rounds, is the top seed, while title pacesetter Mārtiņš Sesks is one of 11 Pirelli-equipped drivers entered in ERC Junior U27.
National champions past and present on the entry list include Grzegorz Grzyb, Łukasz Habaj and Norbert Herczig. Turkey’s Orhan Avcioglu is skipping his home round of the world championship to continue his promising season-long ERC campaign.
Subaru Poland Rally Team’s Marcin Słobodzian will be the driver to watch in ERC2, while Catie Munnings will aim for ERC Ladies’ Trophy honours.
