Magalhães has Acropolis on his mind after tough ERC Rally Islas Canarias
SEAJETS-backed Bruno Magalhães is looking ahead to next month’s EKO Acropolis Rally after a tough second round of the FIA European Rally Championship.
Last year’s title runner-up was hampered by a technical issue for large chunks of Rally Islas Canarias and had to make do with seventh place.
But the Portuguese was in positive mood at the finish of the asphalt event, which took place from 3-5 May.
“It was a very difficult rally for us with all the problems with the pop-off valve and it was only in the final round that we made a clean run so this is the good news,” said Magalhães who attracted additional support from Galp for the event. “I was losing a lot of time during the weekend but we also made some set-up changes and now the car is better and at the end we are here. Now I am working to go [to Acropolis] and we will see if we have good news or not.”
The EKO Acropolis Rally takes place from 1-3 June.
