Poloński out of luck on ERC comeback
Dariusz Poloński’s FIA European Rally Championship comeback meant a step up in car performance but not the luck to go with it on PZM Rally Poland last weekend.
The ERC3 graduate, who has focused on competing in his native Poland this season while he adapts to life behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta R5, was forced to retire on leg one with a mechanical failure but returned on day two.
“It was really hard to get into the right rhythm,” said Poloński, who placed P21 in the final standings. “The rally basically started for us [on Sunday]. Apart from that, it was all okay.”
