Loof will pilot a Ford Fiesta Rally4 in the six-round Junior ERC series which kicks off next week in the Canary Islands.
He contested the formerly-known ERC3 Junior category last season with the same car and eventually finished third with Portuguese co-driver Hugo Magalhães alongside.
After two years of running in November due to COVID-19 restrictions, the opening round returns to its more familiar May slot. Loof feels boosted by previous knowledge of the asphalt fixture.
"Last year, the final rally took place on the same Island and I am pleased that we will start the championship there," Loof explained.
"In November our aim was to secure our place in the championship, and this year our aim is to achieve the best possible start to the season.
"There were numerous good developments last year and we feel well-prepared for the start of the new season," he added.
Loof is one of 14 rising stars set to bid for glory in the Rally4 category, which features a variety of other machinery including Opel Corsas, Peugeot 208s and Renault Clios.
The 20-year-old’s campaign will be supported by M-Sport Poland and he believes the Fiesta is still the best car for the job.
"As far as I am concerned, the Ford Fiesta Rally4 is still the ideal car to compete for the title of Junior ERC champion," he insisted.
"I have had the pleasure of meeting the M-Sport Poland team and can say that the relationship between us is fantastic for continuing in international rallying with the necessary commitment.
"It's fantastic that we have joined forces and that we have the same goals. We will learn a lot more and I personally will have the opportunity to make further progress."
The Junior ERC is open to drivers aged 27 and under on 1 January 2022 in Rally4 and Rally5 cars using Pirelli tyres.
Following round one, the calendar includes events in Poland, Latvia, Italy and Czechoslovakia. The finale will take place in September with a rally that will soon be announced.
