Rome countdown: Route + Maps

This week’s fixture marks the event’s 10th anniversary and, to celebrate the milestone edition, event organiser Motorsport Italia has pulled out all the stops. 

The action begins on Friday morning with the Free Practice session at Fumone, followed by the all-important Qualifying Stage from 1030hrs. 

Crews head into central Rome on Friday evening for ceremonial start festivities at Castel Sant’Angelo and the traditional Roma Parade. Then, it’s time for the rally to begin with a brand-new 1.70km super special stage around the world-famous Colosseum. 

The rally restarts from its hub in Fiuggi on Saturday morning. From there, teams tackle two identical loops before and after lunch with a mid-leg service between them. 

A short, sharp blast at Roccasecca-Colle San Magno (5.50km) leads crews into the monster 29.09km Santopadre-Fontana Liri test, which combines fast flowing sections with tight hairpin bends. Guarcino-Altipiani (11.85km) rounds out both loops. 

Sunday’s finale follows a similar itinerary, with three stages each driven twice. It starts with the brand-new Fiuggi test (6.45km), which finishes just north of the service park and forms the bonus points-paying Power Stage on the second pass. 

Also included are Affile-Bellegra (7.34km) and Cave-Subiaco - the longest stage of the rally at 32.50km. Podium festivities take place in Fiuggi from 1700hrs.
