Pellier has been the class of the field in the Junior category this year, winning in Gran Canaria, Poland, Italy and now also the Czech Republic – with the only blot on his copybook a roll out of the lead in Latvia last month, spoiling what could have been a clean sweep.
After building up an advantage of almost three-quarters-of-a-minute last night, the Opel Corsa ace extended that margin today, to ultimately wind up 1min 32.2sec clear of second-placed Andrea Mabellini, with Óscar Palomo – the only driver who could realistically have deprived him of the title, finishing third.
"These were very tricky conditions and this maybe makes it even better to win in these conditions," said Pellier. "It's crazy that we are champions. I want to say a huge thanks to Opel Motorsport for doing an incredible job all year - the Corsa Rally4 was just amazing in all conditions."
