Twenty-five-year-old László kicked off the year targeting Junior ERC and ERC4 honours with a Rally4-specification Renault Clio but was hampered by technical problems as well as retirements in Latvia and Rome.
He took the decision to upgrade to a Škoda Fabia Rally2 in the top-level category for the final two rounds, scoring ninth overall with the car at Barum Czech Rally Zlín followed by a top-five result at the season finale.
That, László believes, was the right step to make - and he’s happy with the pace he's shown.
“It’s a bit hard to summarise this season,” he told FIAERC.com. “After having many disappointing results with the Clio and then changing categories, I think we can be happy with our pace and the results in the Škoda.
