The high-speed gravel rally has been a prominent fixture in the FIA European Rally Championship since 2013 and will form the series’ fourth round from 17 - 18 July this year.
In 2024, however, the event will be elevated to the FIA World Rally Championship, making its debut at the sport’s top level.
The decision comes after Latvia’s long-time success within the ERC and reflects WRC Promoter’s commitment to keep at least one slot in the WRC calendar available for such events.
“It's fantastic to see Tet Rally Latvia make the move up to the WRC,” lauded Campbell. “This is a clear indication that the ERC is not only a proving ground for drivers and co-drivers, but also for events looking to step up to the highest level.
