The three-time ERC champion was on 0 car-driving duty during last month’s ORLEN 79th Rally Poland, which required him to run as the final course-opening car ahead of the competitive pack contesting the high-speed gravel event.

Kajetanowicz is the WRC’s top Challenger after leading in the ERC
Kajetan Kajetanowicz went from leading in the FIA European Rally Championship to winning in the FIA World Rally Championship – and all in the space of seven days.
He then switched to competition mode for Rally Italia Sardegna, taking his all-new Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 – which he’d piloted for the first time on his home round of the ERC – to victory in the WRC Challenger category in a fine seventh overall.
“It has been an amazing weekend, very tough,” said Kajetanowicz. “Of course, I am really happy with the results, but that was my debut in this car, we did a big step in this weekend with my feeling in this car, but at the same time we need to do more, there are lots of small things that we can improve.”
Kajetanowicz was one of three European champions in the top 10 with Esapekka Lappi finishing second and Andreas Mikkelsen winning WRC2 in fifth position.
Meanwhile, Miko Marczyk, who completed the Rally Poland podium, finished ninth in Sardinia, one place ahead of ERC regular Erik Cais, who will be in action on Tet Rally Liepāja from 16 - 18 June.
