No stopping Team MRF Tyres as Yacco ACCR Team makes big ERC gains

While Team MRF Tyres celebrated its capture of the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams* with more ERC points, Yacco ACCR Team was the biggest climber on Barum Czech Rally Zlín last weekend.

The Czech squad, run by Jaroslav Orsák’s eponymous outfit, leapt from 11th to eighth in the provisional standings after Erik Cais bagged 15 points on his home event.

ACCR Entry Engineering cemented its grip on fourth position after Filip Mareš banked 19 points for the Czech team. Meanwhile, Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy boosted its chances of finishing the season in the top five of the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams after Josh McErlean and Aoife Raftery combined to increase its points tally to 80.

But having celebrated winning the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams* for a second season running prior to the start on Friday, Team MRF Tyres scored another 24 points to move 78 points clear of second-placed BRC Racing Team, which, in turn, is six points ahead of MRF Tyres Dealer Team with just the Rally Hungary season finale remaining.
