Ingrassia happy to give something back after Junior ERC driver talk

Ingrassia was invited by ERC promoter WRC Promoter GmbH to deliver a presentation on his career – and just some of what he experienced in competition – to the rising stars of the FIA European Rally Championship prior to taking the expert commentary role during the live coverage of the 2023 season decider.  

The 43-year-old, who retired from co-driving at the completion of the 2021 WRC season said: “It would be stupid not to share my experience and my knowledge because it’s unique and rare. I will not do anything with it myself anymore so it’s better to spread it around to people that want it. This is my spirit.”

He continued: “I showed [the Junior ERC crews] some footage and told them some stories which were quite fun and enjoyable to make them understand what I lived during my career as they will face such situations.   

“There were one of two things that happened to me has also happened to them and it was good to see the reaction.

“I was happy to give some tips and advice and told them to be curious because the information will not come to them. You have to build it up on your own.”  

Co-driven by his sister Francesca Maior, Norbert Maior won the Hankook-supported FIA Junior ERC Championship after coming out on top of a three-way title decider on Rally Hungary, which also included runner-up Roberto Daprà and third placed Ola Nore.
