Cuzma sets out his ERC 2024 mission

Bogdan Cuzma plans to “improve and push” when he returns to the FIA European Rally Championship in 2024.

The Romanian driver was an ERC rookie ahead of 2023 and spent the season with his focus firmly fixed on learning and progressing.

“Everything was completely new,” he said. “We didn’t know any kind of the rallies but we learned quite a lot. Every time nothing was the same from one rally to another, everything was completely the opposite, so it was a big year for the learning.

“We still have a lot of improvement to make for the driving but at least we know what we need to prepare and practice more.”

Cuzma began his campaign aboard a Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo before switching to the latest Fabia RS Rally2 from ORLEN 79th Rally Poland onwards. Ilka Minor, Dorin Pulpea and Hugo Magalhães co-drove the 33-year-old during the season.

“I enjoyed it a lot, everything was nice except for the outside-of-the-road trips that we did but it’s part of the game, we were not upset by that and we learned the importance of that,” Cuzma said. “Now we know exactly all what we need to do. We will come back next year for sure but we need to improve our pace from this year, we need to push.”
