All change for Junior ERC in 2024

The 2024 FIA Junior ERC Championship will be a mission of discovery with only one event carried over from the all-action 2023 schedule.

In order for the young driving talents to further learn and progress, just Royal Rally of Scandinavia represents previously chartered territory for the Hankook-equipped category, which has been a key component of international rallying since its launch in 2014.

While Rally Hungary hosted the dramatic three-way title decider last October, the event will have a new location (Veszprém) and surface (gravel) when it opens the 2024 season from 12 - 14 April.

The all-asphalt Rally Islas Canarias (below), which forms round two from 2 - 4 May, is back after a one-year break, with Royal Rally of Scandinavia’s gravel-only contest next up from 13 - 15 June.

Rally Estonia, which last tested the Junior ERC stars in 2016, counts as round four from 5 - 7 July and is the third and final gravel event of the year.

ERC newcomers Rali Ceredigion in Wales (30 August - 1 September) and Poland’s Rally Silesia (11 - 13 October) provide Tarmac action as the penultimate and final events of the season.

The six-event calendar for FIA Rally4 and Rally5 cars using Hankook tyres provides an even split of asphalt and gravel events and is the first to follow a new rotation system.

For 2024 stalwart championship events Rally di Roma Capitale and Barum Czech Rally Zlín won’t form part of Junior ERC although both are in line to return in 2025.
