ERC what's new for 2024: The line-ups

There have been line-up changes aplenty in the FIA European Rally Championship for the upcoming season. Ahead of V-Híd Rally Hungary kicking off the 2024 title race, here are five highlights.

Moving on up: M-Sport Poland returns to the ERC’s top level – with Jon Armstrong at the helm of its Ford Fiesta Rally2 (below) – having proved a class above in the Rally3-based ERC3 division last year.

Power switch: After triumphing twice with Škoda power in the 2023 ERC, Mārtiņš Sesks switches to a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 for the new season, albeit with Sports Racing Technologies still overseeing the Latvian’s bid for European glory.

Changing cars: Mārtiņš Sesks isn’t the only driver swapping a Škoda for a Toyota in 2024: Mikko Heikkilä (below) has also changed car types for the new season.

Bonato bets on Benoît: Having completed his long-standing alliance with CHL Sport Auto, Yonnn Bonato is entrusting the running of his Citroën C3 Rally2 to new team Trajectus Motorsport (top image), which is owned by Benoît Tréluyer, the three-time winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours and the 2012 FIA World Endurance champion, for 2024.

Friends united: Andrea Mabellini has joined Delta Rally for his 2024 ERC bid, the same team his good friend Alberto Battistolli drives for.

V-Híd Rally Hungary, based in the city of Veszprém, opens the 2024 ERC season from 12 - 14 April. Visit FIAERC.com soon for the official entry list.
