The three-time winner of the ERC Ladies’ Trophy, Stratieva is planning to contest the five sealed-surface rounds of the European championship alongside co-driver and fellow Bulgarian Georgi Avramov.
As the last female to finish on an ERC podium after she completed the ERC4 top three on Rally Hungary in 2019, Stratieva is a familiar face in ERC service parks but makes her first start in the all-action series as a registered driver since Rally Islas Canarias in 2021.
“I am happy to be back,” said Stratieva, who is also competing in Greece this season. “Step by step I want to do all the Tarmac rallies this season but now I concentrate on Rally Islas Canarias when we continue with the Rally4 category in collaboration with MRF Tyres.”
Stratieva will drive a Peugeot 208 Rally4 run by Emma Falcón’s Sports&You Canarias team with support from Betano Bulgaria, Bauhaus and Petrol. Falcón is a former European championship regular who won the ERC Ladies’ Trophy in 2018.
Cristiana Oprea (below) and Aoife Raftery will also be in the mix for ERC4 points on Rally Islas Canarias with Raftery aiming to build on her impressive V-Híd Rally Hungary showing when she scored a career-best fourth in Junior ERC for the Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy. Oprea also produced a strong performance on the ERC season opener by running in the ERC4 top 10 for much of the event.
