Ninth on V-Híd Rally Hungary last month, Wagner completed the top 10 on the Spanish Tarmac event. It came after he overcame a throttle pedal issue during the opening morning, which the 31-year-old reported had caused excessive brake wear.
“We really enjoyed the whole weekend,” said Wagner, the winner of the Austrian championship for the last three seasons. “I was hoping for a bit more but there were a lot of very good and famous guys out there. The gaps were very tight but thanks to the team, Škoda and Michelin for the tyres.”
Wagner has finished on the podium three times during his ERC career, including on Barum Czech Rally Zlín last season.
