Two points in it as chase for ERC Teams’ title intensifies

Team MRF Tyres’ pursuit of a third consecutive FIA European Rally Championship for Teams hit top gear on BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia last weekend when it closed to within two points of BRC Racing Team in the provisional standings.

BRC Racing Team arrived in Sweden 10 points ahead of Team MRF Tyres but a haul of 38 points from Team MRF Tyres cut the Italian squad’s advantage considerably.

TRT Rally Team was also on the move on the gravel event as it shot up from ninth to third, one place ahead of ACCR Toyota Dolák, which moved up from seventh to fourth.

Eurosol Racing Team Hungary wasn’t in action on BAUHAUS Royal Rally of Scandinavia and slipped from third to fifth as a result.

FIA European Rally Championship for Teams: How it works
To make the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams easier to follow and understand, and for clarification purposes, any ERC registered driver will be eligible to score Teams’ points regardless of the ERC category they contest. As previously a maximum of three cars can be registered for the purpose of scoring Teams’ championship points. A registered team entering more than three cars must nominate its scoring drivers prior to the completion of the administrative checking procedure. If no declaration is made, the team in question will not be eligible for points.
