Kohn ready for ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy WRC prize drive

Filip Kohn will take up his prize drive for winning the inaugural ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy when he contests Central European Rally this week, which starts in his home city of Prague tomorrow (Thursday).

Kohn claimed the ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy title with four wins from five starts alongside former co-driver Tom Woodburn. As well as his prize drive on the penultimate round of the 2024 FIA World Rally Championship in a Ford Fiesta Rally3 run by M-Sport Poland, Kohn also benefited from various incentives offered by ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy partners Gulf Race Fuels and Pirelli during the season.

“Having factory team support is really big for us and it also helps the budget quite a lot because WRC is quite expensive for us and we needed this,” Kohn said. “It’s also nice to start Central European Rally in Prague, my home city. I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and I hope to do a good job and get a good result.”

Ross Whittock, who co-drove Chris Ingram to the FIA European Rally Championship title in 2019, will partner Kohn on Central European Rally.

“With my new co-driver Ross Whittock by my side I’m honoured to be here and happy to race with such a great team and take on some of the most challenging and beautiful stages Central Europe has to offer,” Kohn added.

Czech driver Kohn, 21, beat Kerem Kazaz, the category winner on Delfi Rally Estonia, to the ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy title and Central European Rally prize drive. Croatian Martin Ravenščak finished third with Pole Igor Widłak fourth, Frenchman Tristan Charpentier fifth and Slovakia’s Róbert Kolčak sixth.
