Hankook’s appointment as the FIA Junior ERC tyre supplier for the 2025 and 2026 seasons was confirmed by the FIA World Motor Sport Council during its gathering in Paris today.
It means the continuation of an alliance that began in 2023 when Korean manufacturer Hankook joined the FIA European Rally Championship family as the single Junior ERC tyre supplier and as an official championship partner.
In addition, Hankook equips Rally2 drivers and teams competing in the ERC with Dominik Stříteský famously winning Barum Czech Rally Zlín in August for the company. Hankook is also gearing up to become the official FIA World Rally Championship tyre supplier from 2025-2027.
As the official Junior ERC tyre supplier, developing international rally champions of the future has been Hankook’s main focus in 2024. Hankook Tire Europe Motorsport Team engineer John Archer said: “We’re proud to be the official tyre supplier to Junior ERC, helping to build the stars of the future.”
