The changing faces of Jan Kopecky’s ERC Fabias

Former ERC champion Jan Kopecký is not one for keeping things the same when it comes to the livery of his ŠKODA Fabia rally cars. This is how they’ve looked on the FIA European Rally Championship-counting Barum Czech Rally Zlín for the last five years.

2015: With his Fabia decked out in green and white, Kopecký took the win by 27.3s after moving in front at the end of stage two.

2016: After briefly dropping behind Alexey Lukyanuk nearing the completion of leg one, Kopecký’s path to victory in an all-red retro-look Fabia was eased when his Russian rival spun.

2017: Despite still being far from fit following a huge testing accident earlier in the season, Lukyanuk was once again Kopecký’s big threat. But with braking proving ever more difficult as the event drew on and some technical issues taking hold, Kopecký surged ahead to win by almost one minute in a Fabia decked out in green and white once again.

2018: Another retro colour scheme and another win, this time following myriad puncture delays and by a mere 7.5s over Lukyanuk. For the record, world championship star Dani Sordo placed third.

2019: Back in green and white, Kopecký triumphed for the final time with outgoing co-driver Pavel Dresler by his side.
