The Racing Factory makes big gains in ERC
The Racing Factory - Motorsport Solutions won big during 82nd Rally Poland, round four of the 2026 FIA European Rally Championship.
As well as celebrating its and driver Teemu Suninen’s maiden ERC victories, The Racing Factory - Motorsport Solutions scored 30 points in the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams for the second event running.
It means Aloísio Monteiro’s Portugal-based outfit moves into second place in the race to win the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams, albeit 38 points behind Team MRF Tyres, the defending champion.

“We had victories in the ERC in Rally4 but never Rally2,” Monteiro said. “We did a great job last year, but this is the point where we arrive to fight and try to win. We have a great team and a great driver and everything is perfect.”

Signing Suninen for its 2026 ERC bid represented a major coup for The Racing Factory - Motorsport Solutions with the three-time FIA World Rally Championship podium finisher highly regarded.
“We tried to work with [Suninen], it was not easy for us because he was already with some commitments in the WRC, but it was a great decision for us to bring him,” Monteiro said. “He’s also very grateful because he never thought this championship was such an amazing championship, with so many fights, all the time he’s thinking there’s going to come another local guy to fight with, but this is the great thing about the ERC.”
Monteiro added: “We are in a good position in the championship, this was a great victory and a lot of points for the championship, we are performing well, and I hope we can keep this pace.”
Lancia Corse HF is third after four rounds

Having started 82nd Rally Poland in second place in the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams, Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy is now in fourth position behind third-placed Lancia Corse HF. JC Raceteknik and Recalvi Team are fifth and sixth respectively with T-Racing seventh, Orsák Rallysport eighth, Rautio Motorsport ninth and Toyota España 10th.
